Literature Text

That day
When you buy her maxipads
Wake up and watch her put it on
With disgust on her face
as she wonders why you look at her

That moment where she sings her favorite song
Misses a few words
A few notes
And you just want her
singing to you at all times

That moment where you play video games with her
And it's almost like
no matter what reality you are in,
You'll always be with them

That moment where she loses
and gains a little extra weight
And you look at her
and think she is a beauty queen
An angel
A goddess

That moment where she sings random song lyrics
Tells dirty jokes
And it's like she is keeping you young

That moment you realize
All of this wouldn't be possible
If you weren't in love
Where most people will give you romanticized ideas of what being in love means, this poem was written from a wholly realistic standpoint. When's the last time you read a love poem that has to do with a man getting a woman some maxipads?

Brutally real look on the side of love no one likes to speak of in public.
Well done.
